Macquarie Lighthouse
Macquarie Lighthouse is Australia's oldest lighthouse and is still in operation today. Originally designed by convict architect Francis Greenway, it was constructed in 1818 and rebuilt in 1883. Every two months, you can discover its fascinating history and climb the 100 stairs to the top to see magnificent harbour and city views.

Vaucluse House
Vaucluse House is a stately mansion nestled in a l9th century leafy estate with a kitchen wing, stables and outbuildings and surrounded by 27 acres of gardens and grounds. The home of William Charles Wentworth, father of the Australian Constitution and family from 1827-1853. Many of the original fittings can still be seen, and viewing the estate is a wonderful way to grasp the social aspirations and lifestyles of the Wentworths and the servants who lived and worked in that era.

Parsley Bay Reserve & Beach
This idyllic beach setting boasts a rich, long history tracing back to its traditional owners from the Birrabirragal band. A quick swim to the end of the enclosure and you will be rewarded with a boardwalk pier and a lounging zone. From the southern end, a short trail cuts through some natural bush and out to a picturesque suspension bridge and across to Parsley Glen, the perfect spot for soaking to soak up the atmosphere and taking in the iconic Sydney views.

Hermitage Foreshore Reserve
One of Sydney’s great coastal walks, the easy Hermitage Foreshore track offers up stunning views of Sydney’s harbour, islands and icons. Along the walk you can see Shark Island, the Sydney Harbour Bridge and the grounds of Strickland House. Start the walk at either Bayview Hill Road or Nielsen Park and be sure to stop at Nielsen Park, a wonderful spot to spend some time.

Nielsen Park
Sydney serves up some of its best outdoor offerings at Nielsen Park, located at Vaucluse in Sydney's eastern suburbs. Blessed with the glistening Shark Beach and glorious harbour views, Nielsen Park is one of Sydney's favourite year-round recreation areas. It's also one of the most picturesque places for a picnic, boasting three large, sheltered picnic areas.
