Peter Baldwin has been the Chief Auctioneer of the Richardson & Wrench Network for the past 25 years in a role he considers as an utter privilege. He is the longest serving Auctioneer in the Company’s one hundred and fifty six year history and is acknowledged as being Australia’s finest property Auctioneer.

Peter is widely acclaimed as being one of the most gifted Auctioneers the industry has ever seen. He is recognised as having the most intelligent, articulate and insightful auction delivery of any auctioneer in his field. As a third generation Auctioneer with a Bachelor of Business in Land Economy majoring in Valuation, Peter is accomplished in all disciplines of Auctioneering from Commercial, Rural, Residential, Livestock and Estate Sales throughout Australia. Licensed in New South Wales, Queensland and Victoria he is the youngest auctioneer of all time to auction Sydney CBD commercial property and when appointed in 1990 he became the youngest ever Chief Auctioneer in the Sydney property market.

His career has seen him consistently achieve utmost success in all peaks and troughs of the property market. He remains today the preferred choice Auctioneer for high net worth, architecturally significant, and iconic properties throughout Australian property market.
Over the past 25 years, Peter has auctioned over 31,000 properties with a value in excess of $12 Billion. Within this period he is the most prolific and successful Auctioneer in Australia for achieving residential property sales under the hammer between $6 million and $9 million. No auctioneer in Australia comes close to his record in the sale of significant waterfront properties at auction.

Peter is an auctioneer in the true sense of the word, having a remarkable sense of polish, timing and composure, being intuitive enough to vary the speed and tone of his delivery to add real thrust to bidding or excite even the most discerning prospect into making a bid. He visits every property to be auctioned to gain the most effective insight into the selling points, locational attributes and factors which can assist his vendor in maximising their price outcomes.

His hallmark attribute is his unstinting pursuit for the highest and best possible price for all people and for any type of property.
> Peter holds the highest sale price records in over 30 Sydney Suburbs, including an Australasian Apartment sale record of $10.35 million in Darling Point which equated to $50, 000 per square metre.
> Other property sales include $9.05 million for a waterfront home in Northbridge, $8.32 million for a residence in Rose Bay, $8 million for a non waterfront home in Wolseley Road Point Piper, $7.6 million in Witta Circle, Noosa Heads, $7.56 million in Edgecliff Road Woollahra, $7.4 million in Coolong Road Vaucluse, $7.4 million for an apartment in Macleay Street Potts Point, $6.25 million in Cutler Road Clontarf, $5.65 million in First Point, Noosa Heads and $5.36 million in Louisa Road Birchgrove as well as highest per square metre prices for land and apartments in both NSW and QLD.
> Peter had a rural background growing up in Inverell, calling horse races in the far north of NSW and southern QLD from the young age of 15 and was the youngest auctioneer known to sell fat cattle, sheep and lambs in the tough world of the Inverell Saleyards for his family’s Stock and Station Agency. His father Brian Baldwin OAM is an industry stalwart and is revered by many rural identities as one of the best ever in the field of auctioneering.
